I'm going to be purchasing(if everything gets answered) a JDM d16ZC sohc engine from www.japandomesticmotor.com, they said its the equivilant of a USDM d16y7 when i emailed them asking if they had any SOHC for a 97 civic, but it has a y8 intake manifold on it. Has anyone ever seen this before? Is this correct? The guy who works there who i've been emailing said its a 97 motor. Im just making sure.
Also, anyone know if it'd be odb2, i know after 96 is when they started odb2, just not sure if they did it in japan.

it looks like a d16y8, but it doesnt have vtec solenoid, so i know its not.
Also, anyone know if it'd be odb2, i know after 96 is when they started odb2, just not sure if they did it in japan.
