so I need to find the exact value of f(square root of 2)
f(x)= x^4-4x^3+8x^2+16x-12
I have to use synthetic division to solve. I think it's supposed to work out to zero, making it a factor, but I keep messing something up when doing the division.
then i have to write it in d(x)q(x)+r(x) form
f(x)= x^4-4x^3+8x^2+16x-12
