this is a half bitch half compliment thread.

the other day, my 6 month old HP laptop took a shit on me
and im on my old desktop for the next few days on a 56k modem.

you never realize how good you got it with cable untill you are without it for a few days....
i cant do SHIT online anymore and it takes forever for hondaswap to load.

and my porn viewing habit has been severly (sp?) limited...

on the plus side, i reccomend everyone buy hp laptops. they are sending me a brand new
hard drive via ups and itll be here within 3 days of me making the phone call. their customer service is
excellent and if i ever get a few thousand bucks, id buy more of their products.

plus the hd is simple to take outta the laptop to service.

thats all. just my .2 cents

yeah man i hear ya, i moved home for the summer, and I have a crappy 56k line at home instead of my apartments t1 line.
But oh well at work i have a t3

why don't you go buy a network card for your laptop for the next few days, they cost like $10

ok, so i was on this 400mhz celeron piece of e-machines shit.....
on a 56k.

i had a old network cad in there from when i used to have cable in my old apt. a few years back....
so i went online, did a search for a driver, found one, installed and believe it or not i figured out how
to make the cable work so im back on cable...

and im selling my laptop as well....
