Have a stock 1990 crx si that is eye burning rich. Its not codeing but is sooting the back bumper. Changed the o2 sensor so whats next. Mechanic said to look for vacum leaks???

yep.. if you're spitting a lot of black smoke your fuel pressure is probably too high.. does it bog out when you take off, then pick up after you get going

Ok guys switched out the requlator but still the same junk. How do you tell if a injector is sticking. I would think one spark plug should be blacked out right??

Yeah most likely it would only be flooding that cylinder with gas... what do the plugs look like anyhow?

Sorry for the thread jack, but what could cause the "bog out when you take off, then pick up after you get going" ?

Plugs

Pulled the plugs out and they looked fine. one was a little sooty but really not bad.(I still may swap them out.) Seems to be worse when cold how does the choke system work could a sensor be telling it to choke it some??
