I'm thinking about getting this wheel/tire combo when I save up enough.. Just wondering what you all think of the price tho... and if you've tried out these tires. The tires are Falken 452's, and whats with all the optional 'road hazard program' shat? I'm not sure if thats a good deal or what. Also, is it really worth 20 bucks to have your tires nitrogen filled?

yeah but 16's for some damn reason are more expensive in almost every place i have looked. theres some gay ass 16's on there that are twice what those cost..

I went to pepboys today to get a quote on tires and they told me thay were gonna chargea total of $624 incl tax to purchase and mount 4 (hankook ventus HRII) 215/40HR/17's to whatever rims i brought in... Is it just me or...

get on local websites and look for used wheels... there are lots of them out there for cheap. craigslist and floridahondaclassifieds.com would be good places to start.

^x2. But I would have to disagree about the nitrogen tire filling. I have it in my wheels and havent had to adjust the tire pressure yet this summer and its flucuated from 95 to 55 yesterday and I checked it both times. Just my 2 pennies

i keep on my tire pressures pretty regularly and change it often based on how i plan on driving
so without my own nitrogen filling station or a wide network of nitrogen stations its worthless

215's.....or 205's The link says 205 40 R17 but you wrote 215 from your experience at Pepboys.
And a 17in IS too big. It will definitely make your car handle WORSE on a skid pad....guaranteed. I read an article in Turbo Mag. a long time ago and they were testing tire/wheel combo's on a 100ft radius skid pad circle. They did 205 50 R15 vs 205 45 R16 vs 205 40 R17. The times were taking (car going as fast as it could) and the time was put into a basic algebraic equation to find out the G-Force rating is. 17's were the worst and 15's were the best/

17's may look better to many but the truly will handle worse on a small compact car like a Civic or a Neon.

whoa... hold the fuck up bro..

what drop down? i might have to check that out again... lol

    EDIT
    >>> oohhh... that drop down, yeah man. I looked in most of them, but none of the ones offered in 5x100 really appealed to me too much, at least not the 16 inch ones. It's either they have the ones in 17" at 5x100, or they only have them in 16" at 4 lug sizes. I did find some pretty sweet wheels on there tho, I'll post a pic in a minute.

These are the only 16's I like enough to buy... The gold ones are just killer sweet, and the blue ones would go with my blue and white thing I have going on in my car.

Don't call me a ricer for having a theme, it's just applying to small things here and there like my valve cover will be painted metallic blue later today, or whenever it stops fucking raining lol.

Also if you've seen the SXT Neons, they have some silver interior trim peices, and I might do just those parts in metallic blue but IDK if it will look right, so I might just find a pic on the netz and edit it in paint to see what can be done.
