Ok, I'll be specify the question more clearly this time.

I need a list of engines that will fit directly in to a 91 CRX, 1) without the use of new engine mounts 2) or within a $1000 budget. Here is a list of engines i have in mind, or thing will bolt up:
* ZC engine

* b16a SiR

* b18a1

* b17a1

* b20a5

*b21a1

*d15b2

*d16a3

*d16a6

* d16a8/9

I need one of these engines to replace one with 222,000 miles on it. I also need to replace the tranny(its an auto)

ok, u cant put anything B series in without mounts, so get a b18a, b16a's and all that outa the way. The only thing u can do is.

Go ZC
Go Sohc Vtec.

Id prefer the ZC over the sohc vtec anyday, get some I/H/E cams and cam gears on that lil engine and u might hit 14's, also, u can buy a bigger IM, do some headwork, go forced induction later on, and u will get 13's
