Just had an H22A swap into my 95 Accord EX done a couple days ago but the shop owner "forgot" to tell me that the installer couldn't get my car running with the P13 ECU. They narrowed the problem down as a bad ecu so I sent it back to the place I bought it from to have it checked and replaced if neccessary. I ran my car pretty hard not knowing that my stock ecu was hooked up instead of the p13 and the engine started pinging pretty bad at around 5700 rpm, a little after the vtec kicks in. My question is, can I run the stock ecu w/o doing any damage to this motor until I get my p13 ecu back?I know the H22a has higher compression and I'm using premium fuel. I know my stock ecu doesn't have a knock sensor input to retard ignition timing just in case it pings again, and I won't drive it hard until the right ecu is in.
Thanks in advance,
Rog
