I am shaving my stock antenna. Now, should I buy one of those universal hidden antennas? Do they work well? Or, should I buy one of those VW/Audi type antennas? Which works better? Is there anything else I should consider that would improve reception? Thanks
 
when i shaved the antenna on my 97 Civic, i bought an antenna that sticks to the glass. it was a long flat, sticker like looking thing with a piece of metal in it that was the antenna. i had it hidden behind my banner with the wires tucked into the a-pillar. it got better reception than the stock IMO. i paid like $20 for it at a car stereo shop.
 
Thanks TPP. Anyone else try an antenna that also worked well? How are those universal hidden antennas on ebay for $35? Do they work? I've heard that they only pick up FM, not AM.
