si linkage the same as 94+ teg linkage??

ive heard many people say that you can use teg linkage for a b series swap into an ek chassis. i just did a b18b w/gsr tranny into my hx using gsr linkage, and it does not go into 2,4,reverse properly. this is using a hasport kit if it matters. i took off the teg shortshifter and used the stock d series shifter, which helped a little, but there is still something not right. anyone have ideas?

Should be fine, sounds like something isn't lined up quite right, maybe the mounts are off, or torqued out of sequence.

while i was switching the shifters and the linkage was only attatched to the tranny, i tried to make it go into gear and it was still funky. we did the rear mount first, then drivers side, then upper tranny.....

are you sure you are using the right shifter becasue i used the wrong shift linkage from a delsol and i had the same problem, i switched the linkage to a 96 ls linkage and it was fine!

linkage is from a 97 gsr. it was still connected to the tranny when i bought it. i think im going to see if i can find si linkage locally, and just put it in and see if it helps. it would just stink to spend another 100 bucks that i dont have on linkage (again) and not have it fix my problem. any other ideas?

teg linkage will work...can you shift the tranny into gear while having the linkage removed? if not, i think someone ripped you on your tranny. i was sold a y21 one time that wouldnt go into second or fourth.

99-00 SI AND 94-01 teg linkages are the exact same thing. save yourself the money.

check to see that you actually installed the thing correctly. its very easy to flop whats on top and whats on the bottom, and that will throw it all off

well when the shifter and linkage is not attatched to the chassis (only the tranny), it still doesnt go in all the way.... . as of now, it will go into all gears, but i kinda have to keep my hand on the shifter if its in 2.4 or reverse, because after a minute it will slowly slide its way back into neutral. i think im gonna go take another look tonight

ive looked it over numerous times and am convinced that the problem lies within the transmission itself. ill get it taken care when i get money after christmas
