I have a 93 Civic EX and I'm removing the side moldings. Should I just leave it to have the lip effect or cover it up? If I was to cover it up, what would be the best way to do it?

if you want the indention part there:
remove the molding and weld holes shut. sand smooth and then primer and paint it.
if you want it to be completely smooth down the door:
remove the molding and then cut some metal strips wide enough and long enough to cover the indention and then weld them on. grind down smooth. bondo any areas that need to be touched up and then sand smooth. primer then paint.
