Simple Question

What does the coolant valve thing right above and to the left of the rear mount/"L" bracket do?

I broke the mounting bolt and need to know how important this thing is and if it needs to be in a special position.

i'm pretty sure that valve allows or stops the warm water from flowing to your heater core y0

if we're talking about the same thing then thats def what it does...

moving the valve manually should move the heater control, or vice-verse...
