I am going to run a turbo 99 gsr on the street and drag strip. I would like a DOT tire that would fit my needs. I am going to be putting these tires on lightweight (13-15lbs) rims, 15''. What would you guys recommend?

BFG drag radials for the front... pretty much anything on the rear

then get the azenis all around and the bfgs' when you run.

you CANT build a car that does everything perfect.

its like bikes.

you have road bikes, and you have mountain bikes.

take a road bike in the dirt, and it sucks.
take a moutain bike on the street, and its slow and heavy

then, take properties of both and you get those hybrid bikes...
and while they can do BOTH ok, they do NEITHER as good as an all-out vehicle.

the same goes for cars.

drag car VS
autox/raod car

dedicated track tires is definatly the way to go
but.....
if you are gunna do that i would not recommend the BFG drag radials at all... no point getting a tire that is designed to be streetable if it will only be used at the track.... get real drag slicks for that... just swap them over when you get to the track

and as far as the rear tires making a big difference in handling and street driving... it really wont be a big deal, the drag radials are not going to let you do any serious cornering where you would have to worry about the rear swinging out or anything like that

the bfg drag radials are a sick tire for drag.

but they suck ass for turning and are very mushy (perfect for the slingshot effect, shitty for turning hard.)
