Skunk2 cam gears

I want to add power to my sir, i am looking into purchasing skunk2 cam gears, I use my car for everyday driving.......will these CG be ok for my engine with every day driving. and what is the best setting. Will I be able to install these my self or is it better to get a shop to do it. plus how do the gears work in adding power.

the gears themselves only add power by removing rotating mass, but you use them to tune your cam timing while on a dyno to find the optimum setting. there is no one setting that works for all engines, but generally advancing the intake and retarding the exhaust will provide the best power on an n/a engine
