What is sleeving?

its a metal surface that is heated and put into the block in some sort of way. It's basically the cylinder walls.

Someone could go into more detail for you because that's the extent of my knowledge.

its when you replace the weak cylinder walls of a motor with a much stronger "sleeve" (usually iron).
