The manifold, has one hell of a story behind it. I was going to get a drag mani and downpipe for $450. but the gyt decided to sell his car, with the stuff on it. but, he had bought this one, and was looking to sell it instead. i had first dibs and couldnt pass up and equal length, A/C compatible, "full-race" style manifold for $450. *BRAND NEW*

My Blow Off Valve. An apexi universal, nothing special, except teh fact that you can change the loudness by turning the red ring. I traded an LS tranny that i knew nothing about for it.

The injectors are DSM 450's. Not sure how used they are, but they seem to be in good condition. I paid $75 for all four.

That's not a real Garret / Turbonetics.... go search around on Honda-Tech and definitely go read the forums over at KA-T.org. Anything with "Turbo ZY" on it is the same as the shitty turbos that SS AutoChrome sells on eBay. You bought it from Turbocalculator didn't you? Be careful.

no, i didnt get it off a website. i bought it from a friend of a friend. i know nothing about the compressor side, but i know the exhaust is at least turbonetics. notice the "T" they stamp on everything they make. i doubt i'll have any problems with it. ive taken it to two shops, and both of them said that its in excellent condition. zero shaft play, smooth and quite rotation. i hope all goes well though. thanks for the heads up.

looks good.

Wanna trade me for my dinky 42/48 T3?

Looks like a JRC IC to me...if it is it'll be fine.

I paid 40 for my 450's. DSMtrader

Just run the delta....what motor is it going on, most b's can handle 8 psi with that turbo.

I woulda bought that LS trans off you also if it was a hydro.

Everyhting looks great Good Luck with the build please post some pics during and after as well.
By the way what motor is it going on?

a jdm b16a, with around 40k miles. nothing special. i wish i had the cash to buy my friends shortblock. its a darton sleeved, 84mm, b16 w/cp 8.5:1 comp, eagle rods, polished crank, and all type r assesories. for $1850. i wish...

Im glad to hear your shit is coming along. I've got mad brake problems (pads are shot from sitting so long), electrical problems (alternator is shot from sitting so long) and who knows what else.

That picture with Jason holding the IC... I dont know.. made me shit myself laughing.

you better watch out for that data plate........it's going to be hard to seal the coupling to the pressure side....with that plate on there....

I almost bought one of those..and after I did a little research....that's "the" crappy turbo....

drill the data plate off...fill the rivit holes with JB,.and hope that the ..cheap epoxy around the "cold" side of the unit holds the "seam" together...it's the SS turbo...as in Shoulda Sunk real money into a decent turbo...sell it quik, make up your loss, and put a little more money for something that will last you a few more miles without the worry that it will shard it's self when you see real boost...

The Mani rocks though....good buy.. :)

Wow... that sucks...

well then, you convinced me. i've still got my tax return coming, its only $600, but thats enough for something. maybe something designed for FULL, all out RACEing. i was thinking about getting the 60 trim compressor version.

Something like this....

does anyone think that would be a better choice? i can just put my old one up on ebay for like $300 (same as i paid for it).

that one I would trust more than the SS... :)

me too, i know its coming from a reputable source. the only reason i got the other one, was becuase im not a person who likes to wait, and it was right in front of me. but, what trim would you suggest, (im bolting it on to a stock b16)?

go small.

.57 compressor
stage3 wheel, .63 on the turbine

but, in all of this-- where is your fuel management?

turboEDIT. the creator is a local, plus its free. i have a friends who tunes and burns roms. he has a 5th gen 4 door w/b16 turbo (ran a 13.1 @8psi.) hes just going to burn a similar rom to the one he uses, ill dirve around like that for a while. then get some more money and either wideband tune it, or take it to the dyno.

Cool.. Be nice to have some competition around here. You'll have to make the road trip down here and I plan on taking a couple road trips to KC also.
