smelling gas

Hey I have a 2000 Civic cx hatch auto. When the heater is on and I point it to the floor and face vents, I can smell gas. Does anybody know what could be causing this? Car only has 135,000km so I hope nothing too serious is wrong. I havent actually noticed a change in the gas gauge but its only been about 3 days and I can't figure out what is wrong.

Check the rubber fuel return line. On my brother's maxima, we were getting the same problem, and it ended up the return line being dryrotted and seeping fuel.

Get the car in the air and look underneath it. Check all the fuel lines from the tank's sending unit, forward. Just look for fuel leaks.
