Getting the 14x8's cleaned up, and painted them with the silver Duppli-color wheel paint spray can stuff...and they came out near perfect....a lot better than what I expected....

then slapped the tires I had from an old set...and mounted them on the car.

still a 14x8...but they will migrate their way up to the front to fill in the front flares...and I'll get some 14x10's from Ebay, and stict them back on the back with the 265/50/14's BFG's

and on the car....gotta love camber-n-lip

i like that paint, but don't try to use the dupli color clear...
trust me

Stanbo down in NJ will weld them up and redrill them for 4 lug for a small price...or I can just get an adapter made up to bolt them on...and push them farther out even more.....

They'll be to heavy to drift on, but for cruising and hard parking purposes...the car will be bling. The flares will finally be filled.....

but for $107 shipped for 2 rims....that will match the rest of the other rims I have...is a sweet deal.

besides...next years trip to Japan will spew forth another look for the Z.

or just drill some holes and get some studs

I think they belong on the back end of my project. I may need to switch to 5 lug with the 9" rear.

well, the actual plan is to have the guy I bought them from send them to Stanbo, he's came a long way with his welding. Plus he has all new equipment that he can play with. He's going to tack weld some copper to the inside hub, and then tig fill the alum, and shave to match, and then pop the copper off the back, and fill the rest in., and shave to match the rest of the mating surface. One hole will be left alone. And then his neighborhood mech will bore out the other 3 holes. and then he'll bring them up to me at a meet sometime, and then I'll sandblast them and paint them to match the other rims I have. I'll pop off the 265/50/14's that I have on the red rims I have, and mount them on the new 14x10 rims, and they should still clear the wheel wells. If there is no problem after a while of driving on them, or if I abuse them and they hold up...then Stanbo's going to have a few side jobs from the the Z crowd....

The chances of using an existing hole, boring the other 3 on what amounts to a mathematical "guess" and having it not shake your teeth out at 25 mph is 1:1x10(3) against.
