I picked up a used, but not too abused, 90si that needs a few small fixes. The biggest one is the valve stem seals replacement. My Chiltons manual shows how to do it with the head off but can I do it with the head on? The previous owner says the hg is only 6 mo. old so Id rather leave it. If theres an article online or some tips you may have on it Id sure appreciate. So far I bought the full set of seals (felpro), have a magnet, torque wrench, compressor w/spark plg adapter and just need the spring compressor (hoping to rent one locally) Any other tools I need?
Next issue is there is leak in the rad on the top tank where it meets the core. It only leaks when hot. Im going to try bars leak for a quick fix until replacing the rad. Is there a better rad to swap in from an accord/crx/integ ect.? I can buy a new stock one for $130 or so.
Thats it for now.
