not sure if this has ever been covered or not. When you do an engine swap or even a tranny swap will this change your speedo reading?? i haven;t seen this talked about anywere so i'm not to sure about this.
thx
My speedo didn't change. As long as you have the right size tire for the transmission you are using, the speedo should be right. The speed sensor is in the tranny. Since most hondas run roughly the same diameter tire, I wouldn't expect your speedo to be off by more than 10%, ever.
10% of what? i guess it will be the same size tire. wasn't sure because in my 86 monte carlo i swaped rear ends which is the final drive on hondas(right??) when i was going 45 the speedo read 65. thx for the info
