Speedo Problems

I have a 95 dx and the speedo either jumps around, reads zero, or sometimes works but bounces while climbing up. I figure it is the vss, is there anyway to test or clean them before replacing it to see if that will help? Thanks

Yea, they sometimes will go bad.

First, check to make sure all the wires are in good condition and even that it's alll the way plugged in. If the harness and plug look ok, then I'd go ahead and replace it.
