speedo still not working? :(

im totaly downsided on this one. i used both accord wiring diagrams and prelude ones. i cant get my speedo to work.

heres the problem:
three wires from VSS and Three wires on accord harnes. VSS had a pigtail so it wasnt plug an go.
i started switching them around to see if i could get the right combonation. sometimes the car would crank no start. sometimes it would start but no speedo.

i just need to know if someone could look at their accord h22. and see what colors FROM the accord harness go to what 3 pins on the VSS? manual.

Its orange brown and black if memory serves. I know its and ugly shit colored plug.

The EGR has the same style plug and its red white and black...again, havent looked at it.

Dont have an accord to check, but i know its easy to swap those plugs accidently.

the colors on the harness are orange black and brown? or the sensor side?
yea i guess i should chekc out the switching between them?

im sure 2morrow when i get ahold of snap on scanner. it will tell me whats up
