spool valve?

I'm getting code 21, spool solenoid valve out of my first gen B16a motor, if it has to be replaced, what USDM car do I order the part for? About how much? thanks.

spool valve = VTEC SOLENOID.

Try checking the vtec solenoid filter first. It's a gasket and only costs a couple of pounds (over here it's £6) to replace. It has a filter integral to it and the gasket leaks faily often anyway when it gets old. Also check the wiring to it. This can get broken and cause the same fault codes.
