NO that is how you remove vinyl. To get it to adhere properly you need to make sure the surface is clean. I use an Isopropyl Alcohol in a spray bottle to clean the surface. Then you need to make sure the temp is above 50 degrees when you apply in order to get the max life out of it. Last but not least use some sort of squeegie to apply it to the surface. In a pinch I use anything that resembles a credit card. If you have bubbles you can either let them bake out or you can use a pin to poke the center then press the air out of the bubble.
