Zex has a stock 93 civic dx hatchback with nothing more than a test pipe (stock exhaust) and a chikara header for mods that ran a 13.54 sec. 1/4 mile with a zex 75 shot kit. the car is not stripped either. it weighs 2465 lbs with the driver! it made 178whp and 200 lbs-ft of torque with the kit too. :worthy:

i like how its a 93 stock dx but yet it has a d16z6
correct me if im wrong but a d16z6 is out of a 92-95 civic si

its a DX with a D16Z6 dropped in it
the engine was stock (meaning un modified... not stock for the car)
it ran a 13.54 at 98 mph on the D16Z6 with nothing done to it
the 13.31 at 100 mph was done with the addition of their 59300 camshaft and 912-16 valve springs

with the numbers they have posted (178 hp to the wheels at 6800 rpm and 200 ft. lb. tq. to the wheels at 3000 rpm) it is compleatly possible to run the times they listed
 
ZEX never said that it was a stock DX... just a stock D16Z6 in a DX.
 
didn't this come out a while ago? or is this a recent thingy?? just curious. I thought that I saw it out a while back when ZEX was using nasty old advertisements in mags.
