my friend scott has an 84 rabbit GTI that runs low 10s high 9s all day
dont know his exact setup ... all i know is hes running a huge ass callaway turbo setup on it... and hes done weight reduction like fuckin crazy

I used to have an 83 GTI, I loved that car. The short wheelbase, decent rims, short gearing, stock guage pods, sunroof. It turned 3k rpms at 55, was loud, and hard to turn while going slow. BUT, you could throw it sideways at will, and it would always come back. Snow driftin sumbitch.
I would still buy another.
