surface rust on rod

I have GSR rods, one has a little spot of surface rust. Is it still ok to run these?

As long as it's only suface rust, Clean it of and it will be fine, After cleaning if you notice any dimpling in the metal it's junk.

That's something you don't want to mess with, because if that rod is damaged, it will go straight through your block.

where is the rust on the rod?

if its on the top or bottom were any bearing would ride then i would get it machined...

its on the middle of the rod where it says P72.

Thanks for the help and suggestion guys; I took it to a machine shop(T-Hoff for those wondering) and they said its fine.
