swaping heads

im wondering if i swap my vtec D16Z6 head to my D15B7, will the swap go perfict. will everything fit like the air intake manifold and the exaust manifold and will the fule injectors work. also since its a vtec head will my P06 ecu work fine

i dont think the intake mani will work cause the vtec heads flow more air but not possitive. im not too sure about the exhaust mani and no the p06 wont work. the z6 head is a vtec head so youll need a vtec ecu (p28).

i had this in my car before i dropped in my b18. I printed this out and used a haynes manual Honda-Tech.com: Honda Civic/Del Sol (1992 - 2000): FAQ: D15 SOHC VTEC Mini-Me : Massive Write-Up (56k Goodbye) . The only thing you have to remember is that you have a d15 bottom end so buy the parts that go with the block for that engine and you have a zg head on top so buy parts that fit that engine.

no prob it really helped me out when i did mine, id suggest while you have the head off to atleast take it to a machine shop and have the valves checked depending where you got it from, mine had some bent valves so i had them completely clean it as well as port and polish it was better than when it was stock and you could eat off it
