My tach didn't worked because the wirings were wrong. My blue wire was spliced with the MSD ignition box white wire. The MSD setup also didn't work with the tach until I opened up the dis, removed & taped up the white/blue wire and fixed in the blue wire in place of the white/blue wire on the igniter module inside the distributor. Wah lah and both the tach and distributor became alive.
