I have two friends with 93 Civic's with Bseries swaps, and both of them broke there dr. side timing belt mount. One of them broke the bracket too. One of them told me that neither one of them was using the A.C. mount causing this to happen, I guess from hitting bumps or shifting hard. Is this true because I didn't think that mount was all that important in supporting the engine. All I thought it did was support your A.C.
Being that I haven't done a swap yet, I guess I'm kinda learning from there mistakes.

no it doesn't just support the A/c compressor-

it's bolted directly to the block and to the right front frame rail and as such provides additional resistance against motor movement during hard acceleration, shifting, etc

i've alwasy believed that if honda put 5 mounts in the car stock, i would use all 5 of them :)
