Timing problem...

I am having a problem timing my b18a in my crx, mainly because I lost the timing belt cover and never installed it on my engine. It has that little needle that lines up with the marks on the underdrive pulley, thus without it I cannot time the engine properly. Is there another way to time the engine?

well on my B18c. on the crank pulley there is a slot/mark on it. just in case you run into this problem!!

yup, timing marks are on the crank pulley

the cover just protects it from mice going in and getting cought on the belt during startup.
