I've been looking at getting some new shock and Tokico HP and KYB GR-2 shocks are around the same price. Which are better? anyone have feedback on either of them? THanks!
I like the GR-2's since I've rode on them. They're basically a better OEM replacement and not meant for more than a 1.5" drop.
As for the Tokico's, I'm not sure.
GR-2s are valved to be 15% stiffer than the factory damper. I don't know about the Tokicos- I've never ridden on them either, but they are supposed to be good units. Intercrew's drag CRX uses Tokico blues.
As for drop level, my CRX is more than 1.5 inches down, and after 5000+ miles my GR-2s still feel great. Lots of people have some pretty severe drops with GR-2s without any problems.
