    I cant count how many times I heard ppl say somethin along the lines of, the "big 3" should change their practices to match those of auto makers overseas. Im glad those ppl hafta eat crow now.

    huge difference. HUGE. 10x as huge in fact. and gm is what, 20% bigger than toyota? if that?

    a downturn is a down turn. if you're not selling the cars you're making, you'r ehurting.

    I understand that. I was reffering to the fact that ppl wanna bitch about GM and the thousands of jobs it provides Americans. Then when they start suffering everyone is quick to jump on em. Well, looks like almighty Toyota is havin trouble too.

    Toyota and Honda both have quite a few manufacturing and assembly places in America too. Possibly even more than the Domestic brands at this point, since many US corporations have sent their labor to countries with cheaper wages.

    Personally, i hope none of them go out of business, they all have been around for so long, it would truly be a shame to see them go.
