Tranny acting wierd need help

Hey everyone! I just found these forums and i like what i see so far!
I have a question maybe someone has had the same thing

I have a 2000 accord v6 sedan, and about 20K miles ago, i had honda put in a new tranny.

Sometimes whenver i am driving i will notice that the RPM's will want to stay around 1500 RPM, even when i am mostly idling through my neighborhood.

Then whenever i put the car in neutral or park, the RPM's will bounce from 1000-2000 and do this over and over agian

Anyone have any ideas?

thats called "purging" that has nothing to do with a tranny ... that is usually caused by a vaccume leak...to check take a can of carb cleaner and spray it all around your intake manifold if you notice a fluxuation in idle then you know it a vaccume leak!

thanks man, so what i do is take my intake off from the engine and spray carb cleaner in there while the engine is running?
do i step on the gas while i spray it in there?
if i do have a vacum leak, then how do i fix?
and if i cant do it about how much does it cost to fix?
