Turbo Suggestions

I want to boost a b18b. I only want to run about 6-10psi. I am not sure what turbo i should get. I want something that spools fast but keeps boost in the high rpm range. I will take any suggestions. Also if you have had a bad experience with one turbo please tell me about it so that it doesn't happen to me. And one more thing, is a block guard worth the money, where can i get one, and is it hard to install.

What are your HP goals?

When do you want it to spool by?

How much money are you willing to spend?

I don't want to spend a bunch. I would like to get it new. Oh and i am talking about the turbo itself not a kit. I would like to hit like 220hp. Or better yet i would like to beat a highly modified gsr n/a and a gti vr6. I want it to spool at about 2000rpms or less.

straight t3, 16g, etc- those sizes are your best bet.

16g is a 2nd gen upgrade
t3 is a garett/turbonetics farm breed

you can find block guards anywhere
importparts, optauto, etc...
does it work, who knows. i've heard both sides, neither really proving a point either way.

you won't find a new 16g i dont think. i dunno... look around
