I am currently driving a 97 GSR though my reverse gear is f*cked. My boy just recently crashed his 2000 Type-R and he said he would sell me his tranny. It has about 30k on it. I was wondering if I could put that in my GSR. I know that mechanically they will fit, I even have someone that could install it for free. Though before I do it I was wondering if I need to do anything else to the car before I install the tranny

yup, it'll bolt right on. lucky bastard. i'd take everything else he has too. take that 5 lug conversion, motor, interior, suspension, everything.
 
then sell yours on thepartstrader.com for 500 and up..........
