i know i know why right ? just wantin to do it just to do it ... could it handle a turbo ? 50 shot ? cam shaft what all can be done i dont know much about engines im a minitrucker and this is my daily driver 95 civic dx
 
I know a friend who cna built a custom turbo for about 1000-1300 installed. You can do a mini swap, VTEC d-series head on the non-vtec block. Up the compression, change pistons, rods, etc... SEARCH kid, do a freaking search.
 
you could put an intake maifold off of a 92-95 si or ex on it, or from a 96-00 si or ex. you might want to put a cam from a 88-91 civic or crx si in it for some gains I have one for sale if you want. Intake, exuast, and header will help some.

this will not work becuase the 96-00 SI's have a "B" series motor "B" and "D" wont enterchange
