If you don't have a lot of time, then don't think about doing it. Something like that would NOT be easy, and it would require craploads of time and money. There are lots of other motor choices for Civics that are fairly easy swaps and will give you some good numbers.
And by the way, Walterronny, where did you see this V8 in a EG Civic? And what kind of motor was it? Because unless it was some stripped-down all out drag car, then I don't think you know what you're talking about...
my friend has a crx with a 350 in it. i mean it sits on an s-10 frame but it looks like a crx. its tubbed and everything. hes got like 30000in it though. its sick as shit.
the dimensions the the TL engine/trans would require you to cut up so much of the engine bay to get it to fit, not to mention custom axles. For the time and the money it would be more worth while to put a turboed k series in it.
