Ok, the jackson charged gsr engine burnt a valve, I cant say Im surprised, stock valves werent meant to hold the boost, Im glad they lasted this long (about 120k before the charger and another 40k with it)
So I have been searching around for replacements and I have no idea what to look for.
Almost all are nitride coated, so that is a given
I have heard of both skunk2 and ferrea being good brands
Blox offers a set as well as a company called top-line (off nopi)
What ones should I get, pro grade (stainless type) or standard grade?
What makes the standard grade valves better than oem?
my setup is a jackson racing charged gsr engine with stock internals endyn stepper pulley (10lbs boost) 440rc injectors and hondata s300 with walbro 255 intake and exhaust, test pipe and stock gsr exhaust mani. I was going to go to the track to do some tuning on WED but fried the valve last night, so I wont be going till spring now.
Any input is appreciated.
