Just got the odometer email or whatever from CARFAX, check out the mileage and the dates for these records, they seem a little fishy.

* RESULT: GOOD NEWS!
CARFAX found no inconsistent odometer readings in the mileage history
of this 1989 HONDA CIVIC CRX HF 1.5 LITRE (JHMED8363KS000590).

It seems someone was able to put 70k on the car in about 12 days. So by my calculations they would have had to drive at 243mph for the entire 12 days to accomplish this. Any ideas??? :huh:

uhh, maybe they hooked it up to a plane and had the plane drag it, just a quick thought. :blink:

careful, you might get a ticket for the 243 mph, lol. jk

its proably just a typo or something. carfax isnt completely accurate.

Wait, i know exactly what the problem is.

Are you sure this car isnt a CRX type R? If it really is a type r, then it is totally capeable of traveling 243mph for 12 straight days.

-> man, and i thought I was a ricer.

/sarcasm

Anyways, like GSRcrx said, car fax skrews up sometimes when it formulates the reports or however they do it.

i have heard of having this happen before.

Maybe a honda dealer can run the vin for u and double check.

Maybe someone swapped the cluster and didn't report it...

my thought exactly. what are you buying the car for? project or daily driver? If you going to swap the motor then who cares. If your using it as a daily driver then i'd call the dealer and lo ball him due to the inaccurate odo readings

my bet would be that the 80 and 81K are not accurate in the least...

crx's tend not to be the weekend drivers, they are bought by people who drive their cars everyday...

80K in ten years is improbable...

My car's is screwed up.

It goes....

40k
150k
70k
190k
100k

They say it has odometer fraud, but I got it from the 2nd owner, and it is pretty stock and clean. He let his wife drive it for the entire time he owned it from 40k, and he didn't even know how to drive a stick, so I doubt the guy was cheatin gthe system.
