What is this and what does it do? any good? whats the different ratios mean?

vortech = name brand
fmu = fuel management unit

raises fuel pressure X psi per 1 pound of boost (ie, 12:1 raises the stoack rail pressure 24 psi at 2 psi of boost)

hmm i see, are these good units?

what would be the best for a small turbo running like 7psi?

its a typical fmu.

i can't stand the fuckers. other people make good power with them.

They work just fine. A little unrefined,yes. Runs nice and rich during boost which will help prevent detonation.

The vortech FMU is definatly not the most precise way to control a/f ratios, but if a stand alone isn't in your budget(or you dont have a dyno with an a/f ratio analyzer) it can make a good alternative.

Does the AFC hack really work all the way, or better than you guys are saying, instead of an FMU. Just the afc and 440/450 cc injectors, and no missing link cause I guess that is what it is supposed to be right??/

i think the hack is better than an FMU, yes... but its called a HACK for a reason. its not perfect, and there is still no timing control.
