Why all of those "racing" chips, changes point where VTEC kicks in. Some of theme raises while some of them lower this point. I've read somewhere that best point of VTEC engageing is acctually the default one..

So is there point of doing this ?

I'm not sure where you read/heard that.
First tho, do not buy an ebay "RACING CHIP".
Go get the car tuned professionally, and i guarantee that moving the VTEC point on a dyno tune, will show results.
The reason some of those crappy ebay chips set it lower or higher depends on the application.
GSR stock VTEC=4400-4600rpm (i think)
B16 stock VTEC=5500-5800 (i think again)
alot of those crappy ebay chips have it at 4400.
but putting stock b16's VTEC@4400 = poopy water.
I have some 'no name' (95% sure its an ebayer special) chip that came with my chipped p28, and it sucks.
[Anyone with a good stock b16 uber/crome atmel please sell it to me :p ]
VTEC@5k, which is nice and works fine, almost perfect for my gearing.. but the chip is just another cheap crappy ebay blow your motor with a revlimiter of 9999 on a stock b16 chip.
[Someone please sell me a p30 atmel [uber or crome] VTEC@5k revlimit at 8450.]

No, I would not buy ebay "racing chip" but I was curious because some chips have vtec@4200 and some has vtec@5700 or so... so I just want to know why they make so big difference in vtec engageing point...?
