does it matter which vtec selonoid i go with???i have a jdm b18c with a type R head???and my selonoid went to crap...thanx...

Go to hondapartscheap.com and check out the VTEC solenoid part numbers on the del sol VTEC and OBD1 EX, Si and OBD2 EX, Si.....cross reference it to the B18C1 and B18C5 on an Acura site

I looked them up at a honda site. The 94-95 Del Sol VTEC and 99/00 Civic Si (B16's) both use the same solenoid

The SOHC VTEC's are different part numbers so I would think they are different and wouldn't work but maybe someone knows more then me.

Acura site...GSR and Type R VTEC solenoid is the same exact part number as the B16's
