So i have a 93 coupe with a z6 motor. it has 300 thousand miles on it and still runs like a champ. Well i think im having a problem with the vtec selonoid. i watch vids of people with the same motor as me and same bolt ons and you can hear theirs actually kick in. i cant hear mine but it pulls good all the way to redline. is their any other way to check it?

My original si hatchback, with the z6 made somewhat of a wining noise when in vtec (in stock form). I put an intake on it and it sounded better after that, but nothing really noticeable like the b-series.
