does anybody know the redline of a d16z6 and what rpm the vtec cracks??
If so you can answer your own questions.
But for the redline question i think its somewhere around 8
well if you cant answer the question you obviously dont know either..
Do you have a D16Z6 in your car? If so, go look at the tachometer and observe the red-line. As for the VTEC question, is it really that important? Why do you need to know? Do you plan on changing it with a VTEC controller?

Good info. I think redline at the cluster was something like 7200. Vtec around 5000.
On another note, but not recommened, ran my z6 a while back well above 8000 and held it there in thid gear. Suprised I didn't kill it even though I was trying. Tough engines just not recommended to push it to hard without some headwork
redline = 7200, fuel cuts off at 7400
vtec = 4500-4600
no intention on threadjacking, but what would be the cause of my d16 not revvin to 7200, it seems to bounce at around 6800rpms.
