i was bored and on youtube and saw a civic hatch that had a vti emblem on it waht is this?
oh gotcha is it nice?
ahh can be just google it im sure tons of them will pop up
the VTi is basically the SI here..
oh gotcha thankyall very much i had no idea wat it really was.
I think its the European version of VTEC, i dont know why the name change tho
It is same as si or si-r most of them have b16 but u can also find 1.5 vti. Vtec is still vtec here.
Vti is closer to an Ex than a Si in most markest sorry to bust you bubble guys ,
well, the vti is a hatch.. we dont have an EX hatch, so it'd be closer to an SI
Here in Iceland u can also find a 4-door vti and hatch from 94 to 01 model cars. For example the eg6sir is an eg6vti here.I am not sure how it is in other european countries tho....
i understand there is no ex hatch in the usa , doesn't change the fact that most VTI cars are low emission cars in most markets and th EG si was a single cam performance engine
the EG SI has the same exact motor as teh EX. .. d16z6,
word beat me to it
I correct myself , your statement is true in select markets the for the usa your totaly correct but . vti cars vary greatly between markets it really depends where its from and what body code the cars is , eg ,ek ect. vti can be found with anything between a d15z to b18, i have even heard of but never seen d13 vtecs. but i am correct for where i live en ex here is a single cam car as are all vti i have ever seen ,, and all eg sir are double cams , and truely sadly 99-2000 ek Si are all single cam autos
