I thought the purpose of the Members Lounge was to bs about stuff that really doesn't matter when you are bored at work?

I am bored at work right now just counting down the hours untill I can get out on the lake this afternoon and go wakeboarding.

anybody else bored at work right now?
 
what's funny is this post will probably get locked too.

a good "off topic" thread would be something about:
-the new supra that's coming out
-www.laughatrice.com
-the Britney Spears, Madonna, Christina Aguilara KISS heard around the world
-the blackout on the east coast
-how stupid h-t.com is (this is always a good one)

do you get it?
 
Personal things like "I shaved my armhair last night" or "I drove around town cuz I was kinda bored" do NOT constitute good threads. Why? Because no one cares.
 
I guess I thought that talking about video games would be a decent topic because it's something that a lot of people have in common

I just thought it would be more fun to have an interesting title than to call the thread "who likes Gran Turismo" or start a poll about "what's your favorite console?"

maybe I'll drive home so that I can endanger some other drivers....

I LOVE VIDEO GAMES! :) even tho im a girl.........basically one of the guys..w/e

I like GTA Vice City. Greatest Game OF All Time (PS2)

BUTTTTTTT MY FAV GAMEs would have to include:
-Burnout 2 : Point Of Impact ----> such a sick car games (XBOX)
-HALO!!!!!!!!! (also XBOX) the(edit: i forgot the Y)y spent only 10 mil on this game and made 50/60 mil back

anyone else Play HALO?
HALO 2 is coming out.... most anticipated game now.. they spend they r sayin near 50 mil on it

i'll have to disagree with you on GTA being the greatest game ever but you're right about HALO, that game rocks.
 
as far as topics go...no one cares what you talk about UNTIL or UNLESS:

1. the topic turns into an insult contest
2. the topic is a "non-topic" (makes no grammatical or logical sense at all, and was just started by someone attempting to sound stupid)
3. the topic becomes an "un-winnable", endless argument (like political arguments).
4. the topic is pointless (its something no one gives a crap about)

some other reasons:
the topic was started in the wrong forum
the topic was brougt back from the dead
the topic is useless without more information
the topic is a re-post

i cant think of any more, but you get the idea.

the reason these things need to be locked is because 1) bandwidth is not free and 2) to preserve the integrity of this site

I only started it because I didn't know why my PS2 drifting thread got locked

not that I really care, I just wanted to bs with people about gran turismo
