I have a b18a1 motor that's completely stock with higher miles around 200xxx. My question is what all do I need to do to my motor before I can put them in. I have a healthy transmission I just put in a new clutch kit with a lightened flywheel the head was ported and polished.

Why do you want stage 3 cams?

    Cams should match your compression.

If you aren't going to a high comp. piston, running a stage 3 cam won't net you much gain, and in fact, may make you slower.

If you don't want to tear apart the block, stage 1 is about as big as you want to go. TO support those, you'll need upgrade valve springs and retainers.

    yeah that's a good deal...

maybe try to trade them out with someone going BIG, or go BIG yourself with a high compression rebuild :)

Honestly, you would spend more money building the engine for those cams than if you sold them and put the money towards a budget turbo build. The turbo will also yield better power.
