im trying to get around the high 200hp range. Working with a b20 Ls vtec and a Gsr head... i also wanted to add in a jackson racing supercharger... i need help with compression ratios cuz i have seen pistons stuck inside of blocks b4 with the improper sizing like 14.5.1 yeah idiots. so i am thinking maybe 12:2:1?? for a mid range compression supercharged car with 10-12 psi? sound good or am i out of my mind.. also injector sizing i will need as well. i am thinking toda stage 2 cams as well. the rest is a cake walk or is it??

Yes, your setup is crazy! If you just want to make 200 hp forget about the supercharger. GO to ENDYN - www.theoldone.com , they make 300 hp NA b20's. Go to the their " Articles" page and they have pages of how to build a 300hp B20 vtec! some reputation points would be nice:)

you are on crack if you think your running high compression pistons and a SC.first the compression will be far too much when boosting..and the b20 sleeves are real weak..

    compression

if 12:2:1 is too high to run a supercharger. what would be an optimal compression ratio?

NOthing over 10:1 would be O.K. (9:1 would be safer) thats why the b18b with (8.5:1 i think) is the optimal stock motor for boost.

High CR + boost = blown motor

12:2:1 is what CR you want with a NA motor

Anyways B20 stock blocks arn't worth a crap for big hp, like ENJYN78 said..
ENDYN uses Dart block for their builds.

there are plenty of people boosting high compression engines... and doing it reliably

    its all in the tuning

ENDYN, and specifically Larry Widmer is a hack ass bullshit artist that i wouldnt trust to rebuild my fucking lawn mower... i know plenty of people who have blown the hell up due to their shitty parts and or tuning

Your just hatin on me. Please tell me of a B20 street car running 12:1 compression and at least 10 pound of boost on pump gas.
Yes there are some racers doing that but their engines last at the most of 1/2 a year and they use Dart blocks

Haters want to make me sound bad when everybody else is doing the trash talking,
I schooled yall on camber, caster, toe, when one of yall were cusing at me and said only toe wears on tires( camber does to smarty)

Then i could not seem to explain somebody backspace and offset and somebody called me out saying hondas dont have around +40mm offset and said that i had it backwards.(backspace is were the mounting surface is compared to inside edge of the wheel) ( offset is the difference of the center of the wheel compared to backspace/ the mounting surface.)
( hondas have around 40+mm offset) check it out at tirerack.com and American Racing wheels explains it completely

( It makes me laugh when you cuss at such simple things)
Then i just schooled a hater calling me out saying boosting high CR motors with boost is smart! haha
detonation dummy (you have to run race fuel to pull that crap off)( and be ready to build a new engine every 1/2 a year or so depending on how much you run it.

    yall make me laugh

Please explain if any of what I said above is incorrect with reliable information without cussing.

IF yall can do that then you will have my respect.

The next person that calls me out apperently does not know what they are talking about

go answer my question i left for you on the camber issue, and i have friends with high comp motors that are turbo putting down 700+ and they drive the car almost everyday

havn't got your guestion in my inbox? What i was trying to explain about camber is if it changed it will wear the inside if you try to tuck the tire in. MY friend did a lift on his truck with new tires without getting an alignment and his tires lasted a month b/c the camber change weared on the outside of the tires. Any change in camber (other than alignment) will wear tires out quicker. so it would not be a good idea to tuck the wheels by changing
camber. that much camber would hurt handling also b/c the weight of the car would mostly be on the inside of the tire.

It would work but you would be changing out tires alot more often and handling would be diminished.

    Did that explain my reasoning?

Need more info about your friends car to be reliable info, like i said in my last post.
What motor, CR, how much boost, what type of fuel, etc.

I guess it would have been a good idea to say i worked in a tire shop for about a year. oops:)

    hater???

what is this "hater" you keep speaking of??

and i never said that boosting on a high compression engine is smart... i also never said it was dumb... i said that it can and has been done, and that it requires precise tuning

i did say that ENDYN (and specifically Larry) are hacks that make garbage parts, and tune like crap and are responsible for blowing up more than a few cars.

i do not want nor do i care about respect from you, so let me drop an F bomb right now just to make sure that is taken care of.... FUCK!!!

you schooled no one on camber caster and toe... you posted an informational video that did nothing more than explain the basic concepts of the three... you did not make the video, you simply linked to it... it still had nothing to do with the conversation at hand at the time...
toe IS responsible for the bulk of tire wear... camber can contribute a small amount over time, and if you dont like to take corners at any rates that would scare a grandmother, but the camber would need to be off by a ridiculous amount for it to cause excessive tire wear... and by that time other things, like suspension geometry, would be far greater of a concern than tire wear...

you are the worst kind of idiot... you are an idiot who knows how to go out and find little nuggets of information, nuggets that you like to pass off as knowledge... but you dont have any knowledge, and you dont have any experience... all you have is these little nuggets... and you try to pass them out to impress people... much like a thug who tries to use large words to sound intelligent, but they dont use them or even pronounce them correctly, so they expose themselves as even bigger idiots...

how long have you been tuning cars? i mean really tuning them... not just replacing worn equipment, not putting things back to the factory specs, and not simply taking directions from someone else...

how many track cars have you built?

how many times have you actually played around with changing and tuning things like camber, caster, and toe, to see how it actually effects the handling characteristics of a vehicle?

how many times have you sat down and figured out the best practical suspension geometry for a vehicle, for the specific track or type of driving you would be doing, not based off of how many inches lower than stock you would be, or how much wheel gap you would have, but truly figured out, based on driving style, handling needs, and surface conditions, the ideal settings?

how many times have you manually figured out and performed a vehicle alignment? how any times without the use of a computerized alignment machine?

how many times have you corner balanced a vehicle?
