what psi should i spray my coats at ?

I know youshould spray your primer at like 20-25 right?

what about base coats and clear coats?

btw, I have a HVLP gavity feed gun

20-25 Is fine, I usually turn it up a little more for the clearcoat to atomize it better.

thank god you told him the right answer befor some noob told him 50psi or somthing dumb. I spray high build at around 13-15 psi but i am runnning a 1/2 airline on a big tank so i flow more air at a lower psi.

yip i run very low for primer as well such as around 15 psi. For basecoat i run abot 19 psi and about 17 to dust coat the last coat if it is metallic. clear i run at around 21 to 23 psi

it depends on what you feel comfortable at usually 15-25 psi work fine for anything you are spraying.

what the paint lays out the best at for pressure but normally between 15 and 30 psi
