I currently have a 97' hatch that I was going to do a motor swap in. But the more I think about dropping 7000 or more dollar into a 97' I think that I should just go with a new honda. I found this website that sells type-r civic from uk and will export one for me. Should I go with the new civic or keep working on my hatch

Keep the hatch. Fuck the pain in the ass that importing a car would be. You'll be more than happy dropping "$7000 or more" in a B-series.

Would it be the Civic Type R with the K20A2 engine in it?

There's a company in Cali that imports the JDM R that has the K20A in it (220hp and LSD), otherwise the UK CTR is only .... ok.

I would spend $7000 on the engine. It would be fast as hell. The only reason I would spend all that money on a Type R is for the name.
